This project included partnering with Trane to provide HVAC equipment upgrades to the Columbia, IL High School and Jr. High School. The scope of work included mechanical, electrical, and structural design for replacement of existing HVAC equipment.

Specific details for the High School project include replacement of eleven (11) roof mounted multizone rooftop units with new Trane high efficiency VAV rooftop units with self-contained hot water reheat via a boiler within each unit. The VAV replacement units ranges in capacity from 20 to 40 tons. Replacement of five (5) gas fired rooftop units. This project also involved the replacement of three (3) make-up air units and the addition of two (2) new ductless split systems.All rooftop unit replacements included structural analysis for safe support of new units included required structural upgrades for added weight.

The Middle School project included replacement of two (2) existing boilers with two (2) new condensing boilers and associated hot water pumps. Additional scope involved replacement of 120 two-way valves and 30 three way valves at each VAV box.
