Springfield Clinic – Taylorville, IL

M/E 1 provided consulting engineering and commissioning services for the Infusion Center added to the existing Springfield Clinic at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. The need for the drug prep room to be designed as an ISO Class 7 negative pressure clean room with an ante room was identified. Cancer drug preparation is done in a Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet relocated from Springfield Clinic’s main campus facility. New exhaust system was designed along with room pressure controls, HEPA filtration and ductwork modifications for the patient infusion area.
